Catching you up

I decided to start this blog to keep all our friends and family up to date on what is going on. As most of you know all of our family is in California or Canada. BOOO!! We miss you all and figured we could keep you updated by blogging! (Not to mention I'm pretty bored sitting at home all day)
Here is a short summary of what has been going on in the past year. We got engaged February 9th, 2008. Ryan took me up to Canada to meet everyone and to see where he came from. It was an amazing vacation filled with castles, blizzards, family dinners and most importantly an engagement ring.

It didn't take us long to settle on a date and to decide on a Destination Wedding. We had both always dreamed of being married by the ocean with the wind blowing through our hair and the sand in between our toes.

May 1st, 2008 we moved into our new home in Stephenville. We bought a four bedroom, three bathroom home in an amazing area. I heart our house. I can't wait to be able to start decorating and making it our own. Now that the wedding is over it shouldn't be long!! WOOHOO!!

At the beginning of August, Ryan's son Dakota moved in with us. He is in the seventh grade and doing great. It is never boring when Dakota is around that is for sure.

We got married September 7th, 2008 in Cancun, Mexico. After much deliberation we chose Dreams Cancun as our location and I am so glad we did. Everyone that joined us had a great time! We stayed in Cancun for a week (wish it would have been two) and during that week we lived it up with all our family and friends. We swam with dolphins, went snorkeling, went out on a Pirate Dinner Cruise and best of all had some great meals together!! Mmmmm. We are already talking about an anniversary trip next year!!

Dakota just got done with football season and now basketball season is starting. I can't wait to go to his first game on Thursday! GO YELLOWJACKETS!! I will do my best to keep this blog as updated as possible, complete with pictures of our smiling faces :)
